NETHERLANDS – FeedValid and SFP Group from the Netherlands embark on a strategic partnership in Poland, to maximise the redistribution of organic residues. The ambitions are clear. “We want to redistribute a minimum 95% of all local organic residues. By joining forces, we envisage a wealth of opportunities that will enable us to improve our carbon neutral, circular business operations. This partnership is good news for the environment and for our clients. An absolute win-win situation,” says Alexander Romme, Chief Material Officer at FeedValid.
The highest quality application
Niels Peters, CEO at SFP Group, is equally enthusiastic about the partnership. “Poland has huge potential; a strong agricultural country with related food industry. Looking ahead, it’s fantastic to be able to offer companies a joint solution to valorise their organic residues in the best way possible.”
Back into the chain
“We aim to realise the highest quality application for every organic residue,” continues Peters. “FeedValid is a specialist in upgrading organic residues from the food industry into new circular animal feed ingredients. If FeedValid is unable to use these residues for feed, we can use them as a fuel source for renewable energy. If a residue remains at the end of the process, we will use this as the basis for our organic fertilisers. Virtually everything re-enters the chain.”
Circular pioneers
“If a specific situation means we can accelerate the speed of the raw material transition, FeedValid wants to be involved,” adds Romme. “We have already been working closely with the SFP Group in the Netherlands. By opening a joint office in Poland, we can respond and adapt even faster. As circular pioneers, we provide clients with a complete package and a single point of contact. We will find a solution, whatever your organic residues. This partnership will allow us to make a huge difference.”
Leading role in the sustainable energy market
“I started SFP Group together with Erik Brouwer in 2020. We wanted to accelerate the energy transition by increasing biomethane production. Only four years later, we have established a leading position in the renewable energy market. We work with 45 employees on a daily basis to reduce greenhouse gas levels. Our partnership with FeedValid means a zero-waste approach is even closer to realisation. An amazing thought,” concludes Peters.
